Overhead Light Fittings

Project Description

In keeping with the architecture of the house, the client prefered a design that’s more akin to classic bookcases for this home library. This is showcased with the use of solid timber beams with decorative flutes, molded cornices and feet, with brass hardware and fittings and an overhead light fitting to cast a warm wash down the open bookshelves.

An American walnut finish is chosen to complement the dark timber floor boards in the room. This floor-to-ceiling unit is designed to create a quiet and peaceful reading room akin to those found in libraries and country houses.
